Kyushu Alumni Tour

We are delighted to announce the Kyushu Alumni Tour for 2019 which coincides with the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Beautiful Kyushu is the third largest island of Japan where you will visit some amazing companies and have some incredible experiences during the tour.

Our special guest Hyodo-sensei, from the Toyota HiAce Factory, is excited to be joining us in Kyushu again to share his experiences.

Daihatsu Kyushu (Toyota’s small car/truck factory)
Fundokin (salad dressing, miso & soy sauce factories)
Omron Taiyo (electric components factory)
Oita City Government (government kaizen program)

Your tour leaders will be Ben Sparrow and David Fitzpatrick. Having lived in Kyushu for 5 years and over 20 years respectively, Ben and David will share their local knowledge and insights along with introducing you to many of the region’s industry leaders and characters as they join us for dinner each night.

Past dinner guests have included the Managing Director of Toyota Kyushu, the Mayor of Oita City, Marketing Manager of Fundokin and a former senior manager of Daihatsu.

Pricing for the tour is US$6,250 covering all expenses except your airfare to Kyushu (Fukuoka Airport), travel insurance and personal spending.

The Alumni Tour is run by Shinka Management and supported by the Australian Industry Group and co-hosts Simply Lean Business Solutions. Since the first tour in 2007, the Tours have been attended by senior management and Lean leaders from across the English-speaking world.
